A tiny plan for your day

Estimated time: 6 min to prepare · 11 min to explore · 3 min to tidy. It's fine to stop early.

Before you start

What you’ll need

  • One short, blunt, smooth stick checked by an adult
  • Large safe leaves
  • Wide paper tape applied by an adult

Let's begin

Three simple steps

That's the whole activity. Tick each step off as you go, and stop whenever you like.

  1. Grown-up job

An adult checks the stick for splinters, sharp ends and cleanliness, and chooses large safe leaves.

  2. Little one leads

Let your child choose the leaves and where they should go; an adult secures them with wide tape.

  3. Invent a woodland story, keeping the wand low and away from faces.

All done!

That's every step. However it went, you made a little moment together.
