A tiny plan for your day

Estimated time: 5 min to gather · 15 min to make · 5 min to tidy. It's fine to stop early.

Before you start

What you’ll need

  • About eight dry sticks, from short to long
  • String
  • Little decorations: pine cones, leaves, wool pom-poms

Let's begin

Five simple steps

That's the whole activity. Tick each step off as you go, and stop whenever you like.

  1. Line the sticks up from shortest to longest. That's your tree shape!

  2. Grown-up job

An adult ties string to both ends of the shortest stick for a hanging loop.

  3. Add the next stick below, tying it to the strings at both ends.

  4. Keep going, down to the longest stick at the bottom.

  5. Little one leads

Your child decorates it with pine cones and leaves.

All done!

That's every step. However it went, you made a little moment together.
