A tiny plan for your day

Estimated time: 5 min to pick · 20 min to make · 15 min to bake (adult at the oven). It's fine to stop early.

Before you start

What you’ll need

  • A small sprig of rosemary or culinary lavender, finely chopped by an adult
  • 100g butter, 50g sugar, 150g plain flour
  • A bowl, cutters and a baking tray

Let's begin

Five simple steps

That's the whole activity. Tick each step off as you go, and stop whenever you like.

  1. Together

Pick the herbs together and smell them.

  2. Little one leads

Your child squishes the butter and sugar together.

  3. Add the flour and a pinch of chopped herbs. Mix into a dough.

  4. Roll out and cut shapes.

  5. Grown-up job

An adult bakes them at 170°C for about 15 minutes, until pale golden.

All done!

That's every step. However it went, you made a little moment together.
