A tiny plan for your day

Estimated time: 4 min to gather · 14 min to make · 2 min to tidy. It's fine to stop early.

Before you start

What you’ll need

  • A big handful of long, dry grass or straw
  • Wool or string, cut into short pieces

Let's begin

Five simple steps

That's the whole activity. Tick each step off as you go, and stop whenever you like.

  1. Gather the grass into a bundle and fold it in half.

  2. Grown-up job

An adult ties wool near the fold to make a head.

  3. Separate a few strands on each side for arms and tie at the wrists.

  4. Tie again at the waist. The rest makes a skirt or legs.

  5. Give your grass doll a name and a tiny leaf hat.

All done!

That's every step. However it went, you made a little moment together.
