A tiny plan for your day

Estimated time: 3 min to set up · 10 min to peg · 2 min to tidy. It's fine to stop early.

Before you start

What you’ll need

  • A length of string tied low between two chairs or trees
  • Clothes pegs
  • Leaves, feathers, pressed flowers, grass

Let's begin

Five simple steps

That's the whole activity. Tick each step off as you go, and stop whenever you like.

  1. Grown-up job

An adult ties the string at your child's chest height.

  2. Little one leads

Your child pinches a peg open and clips on a leaf.

  3. Keep going until the line is full.

  4. Sort them: all the big leaves here, all the small ones there.

  5. Watch them flutter in the breeze.

All done!

That's every step. However it went, you made a little moment together.
