A tiny plan for your day

Estimated time: 5 min to prepare · 12 min to weave · 3 min to tidy. It's fine to stop early.

Before you start

What you’ll need

  • Three short, smooth sticks
  • A ball of wool
  • A few small leaves

Let's begin

Five simple steps

That's the whole activity. Tick each step off as you go, and stop whenever you like.

  1. Grown-up job

An adult ties the three sticks together in the middle to make a star shape.

  2. Tie the wool to the centre.

  3. Little one leads

Your child winds the wool round and round, going over each stick as they go.

  4. Keep going until the web feels big enough. An adult ties off the end.

  5. Tuck a few small leaves in as "caught bugs".

All done!

That's every step. However it went, you made a little moment together.
