  • A cardboard tube
  • Short strips of crepe paper or tissue, about a forearm long
  • Sticky tape

Let's begin

Five simple steps

That's the whole activity. Tick each step off as you go, and stop whenever you like.

  1. Little one leads

    Your child chooses their colours.

  2. Tape the strips around one end of the tube.

  3. Head outside and hold it up high.

  4. Which way is the wind blowing? Run with it, then against it.

  5. Watch the trees too. Are they dancing as well?

All done!
