A tiny plan for your day

Estimated time: 5 min to prepare · 20 min to felt · 5 min to tidy. It's fine to stop early.

Before you start

What you’ll need

  • A small handful of wool roving (felting wool)
  • A bowl of warm, soapy water
  • A towel and a tray

Let's begin

Five simple steps

That's the whole activity. Tick each step off as you go, and stop whenever you like.

  1. Little one leads

Your child rolls a little wool into a loose ball.

  2. Dip it in the warm, soapy water.

  3. Roll it gently between your hands.

  4. Keep rolling, a little harder each time. It shrinks and goes firm!

  5. Rinse and leave it to dry.

All done!

That's every step. However it went, you made a little moment together.
