A tiny plan for your day

Estimated time: 5 min to prepare · 8 min to paint · 2 min to tidy. It's fine to stop early.

Before you start

What you’ll need

  • A few clean spray bottles or squeezy bottles
  • Water with a few drops of food colouring in each
  • Gloves, hats and coats

Let's begin

Five simple steps

That's the whole activity. Tick each step off as you go, and stop whenever you like.

  1. Fill the bottles with coloured water.

  2. Head out to a patch of fresh snow.

  3. Spray, squeeze and drip colours on the snow.

  4. Try making shapes, spots or a giant smiley face.

  5. Watch what happens when two colours meet.

All done!

That's every step. However it went, you made a little moment together.
