A tiny plan for your day

Estimated time: 5 min to prepare · 5 min in the rain · 5 min to tidy. It's fine to stop early.

Before you start

What you’ll need

  • Thick paper or card
  • Washable paint, a few blobs, or felt-tip pen scribbles
  • A tray

Let's begin

Five simple steps

That's the whole activity. Tick each step off as you go, and stop whenever you like.

  1. Little one leads

Your child dots or scribbles colour onto the paper.

  2. Put the paper on the tray and pop it outside in light rain.

  3. Watch from the window as raindrops land.

  4. Bring it in after a few minutes. What happened to the colours?

  5. Leave to dry flat.

All done!

That's every step. However it went, you made a little moment together.
