Easter twig tree
A tree full of springtime colour. Pop twigs in a jar and hang decorated paper eggs on them.
*Illustrative age guidance. Your child's development and circumstances matter more than a number.

A tiny plan for your day
Estimated time: 5 min to prepare · 12 min to decorate · 3 min to tidy. It's fine to stop early.
Before you start
What you’ll need
- A few fallen twigs with branches
- A jar or vase with stones to hold them steady
- Card egg shapes cut out by an adult
- Crayons or paint, and short wool loops
Let's begin
Five simple steps
That's the whole activity. Tick each step off as you go, and stop whenever you like.
Stand the twigs in the jar, wedged with stones.
- Little one leads
Your child decorates the card eggs with stripes, spots and swirls.
- Grown-up job
An adult adds a wool loop to each egg.
Hang them on the twigs.
Add a new decoration each day until Easter.
That's every step. However it went, you made a little moment together.
