A tiny plan for your day

Estimated time: 5 min to gather · 15 min to make · 5 min to hang. It's fine to stop early.

Before you start

What you’ll need

  • One sturdy stick
  • String, cut into short lengths by an adult
  • Things that clink: shells with holes, old keys, metal spoons, small pine cones, short sticks

Let's begin

Five simple steps

That's the whole activity. Tick each step off as you go, and stop whenever you like.

  1. Grown-up job

An adult ties a short string to each object.

  2. Little one leads

Your child chooses where each one goes along the stick.

  3. Together

Tie them on, spacing them so they can bump together.

  4. Add one string at each end to hang it up.

  5. Hang it outside a window and wait for a breeze.

All done!

That's every step. However it went, you made a little moment together.
