Tree tag
Touch a tree, you're safe! A chasing game where trees are the home base.
*Illustrative age guidance. Your child's development and circumstances matter more than a number.

A tiny plan for your day
Estimated time: 1 min to explain · 8 min to play · 1 min to catch your breath. It's fine to stop early.
Before you start
What you’ll need
- A park or garden with a few trees
- Two or more players
Let's begin
Five simple steps
That's the whole activity. Tick each step off as you go, and stop whenever you like.
Choose who's "it".
- Together
Everyone else runs around. Touching a tree makes you safe.
You can only stay on a tree for a count of five.
If you're tagged, you're "it" next.
Change the rule: today, only touch trees with rough bark!
That's every step. However it went, you made a little moment together.
