A tiny plan for your day

Estimated time: 3 min to prepare · 5 min to arrange · 2 min to tidy. Then wait a few days. Plus waiting time: a few sunny days. It's fine to stop early.

Before you start

What you’ll need

  • A sheet of dark sugar paper
  • Flat leaves, keys or other flat household things
  • A little tape

Let's begin

Four simple steps

That's the whole activity. Tick each step off as you go, and stop whenever you like.

  1. Little one leads

Your child arranges leaves and flat objects on the paper.

  2. Grown-up job

An adult tapes it to the inside of a sunny window, objects facing out.

  3. Wait a few days. Guess what might happen.

  4. Peel everything off and see the shapes left behind.

All done!

That's every step. However it went, you made a little moment together.
