A tiny plan for your day

Estimated time: 3 min to gather · 10 min to build · 2 min to tidy. It's fine to stop early.

Before you start

What you’ll need

  • A pile of sticks, short and long
  • Leaves, pine cones or stones for bodies and eyes

Let's begin

Five simple steps

That's the whole activity. Tick each step off as you go, and stop whenever you like.

  1. Choose a bug to build: a spider, a beetle, a butterfly?

  2. Start with a body, like a pine cone or a big leaf.

  3. Add stick legs. Count them! Six for an insect, eight for a spider.

  4. Make both sides match, like real bugs do.

  5. Give your bug a name and a silly voice.

All done!

That's every step. However it went, you made a little moment together.
