A tiny plan for your day

Estimated time: 4 min to make · 5 min to squish · 1 min to tidy. It's fine to stop early.

Before you start

What you’ll need

  • A strong zip-lock freezer bag
  • Clear hair gel or a little oil and water
  • Small, flat leaves and petals
  • Strong tape

Let's begin

Five simple steps

That's the whole activity. Tick each step off as you go, and stop whenever you like.

  1. Little one leads

Your child pops leaves and petals into the bag.

  2. Grown-up job

An adult adds the gel and seals it, squeezing out the air.

  3. Tape all edges firmly to a low, sunny window.

  4. Squish, poke and push the leaves around.

  5. Can you make the leaves swim to the top?

All done!

That's every step. However it went, you made a little moment together.
