A tiny plan for your day

Estimated time: 4 min to prepare · 13 min to explore · 3 min to tidy. It's fine to stop early.

Before you start

What you’ll need

  • Damp clean soil
  • A blunt, supervised mark-making tool
  • Water and handwashing facilities

Let's begin

Three simple steps

That's the whole activity. Tick each step off as you go, and stop whenever you like.

  1. Choose a safe patch of clean damp soil, away from animal waste and sharp objects.

  2. Make lines, circles and tracks using a suitably blunt tool.

  3. Notice the changing shapes, then wash hands and clean tools.

All done!

That's every step. However it went, you made a little moment together.
