A tiny plan for your day

Estimated time: 3 min to prepare · 10 min to explore · 2 min to tidy. It's fine to stop early.

Before you start

What you’ll need

  • A few big, flat, dry leaves
  • Chunky washable or chalk pens
  • A tray or old placemat

Let's begin

Four simple steps

That's the whole activity. Tick each step off as you go, and stop whenever you like.

  1. Lay the leaves flat on the tray.

  2. Little one leads

Let your child decorate them however they like, with dots, lines, eyes or smiles.

  3. Try tracing the leaf's veins with a finger first, then with a pen.

  4. Give each leaf a name and a little voice.

All done!

That's every step. However it went, you made a little moment together.
