Conker roll painting
Tip, tilt, roll! Let conkers do the painting as they roll through blobs of colour.
*Illustrative age guidance. Your child's development and circumstances matter more than a number.

A tiny plan for your day
Estimated time: 3 min to prepare · 10 min to explore · 2 min to tidy. It's fine to stop early.
Before you start
What you’ll need
- A shallow tray or washing-up bowl
- A sheet of paper that fits inside
- Washable paint
- Four or five conkers
Let's begin
Five simple steps
That's the whole activity. Tick each step off as you go, and stop whenever you like.
Pop the paper in the tray.
- Little one leads
Your child squeezes a few blobs of paint on the paper.
Drop in the conkers.
Tip and tilt the tray to roll the conkers around. Watch the patterns appear.
Lift out the paper and try another colour.
That's every step. However it went, you made a little moment together.
