A tiny plan for your day

Estimated time: 4 min to prepare · 9 min to print · 2 min to tidy. It's fine to stop early.

Before you start

What you’ll need

  • An apple, cut in half by an adult
  • Washable paint in a shallow tray
  • Paper and a tray

Let's begin

Five simple steps

That's the whole activity. Tick each step off as you go, and stop whenever you like.

  1. Grown-up job

An adult cuts one apple across the middle to show the star.

  2. Cut another top to bottom for an apple shape.

  3. Little one leads

Your child dips an apple half in paint.

  4. Press down firmly on the paper, then lift.

  5. Make a pattern, a tree full of apples, or a starry sky.

All done!

That's every step. However it went, you made a little moment together.
