Estimated time: 2 min to prepare · 16 min to explore · 2 min to head home. It's fine to stop early.

Before you start

What you’ll need

  • Sharp eyes
  • A phone camera, optional

Let's begin

Five simple steps

That's the whole activity. Tick each step off as you go, and stop whenever you like.

  1. Look up for birds' nests in trees and hedges.

  2. Look down for holes in the ground. Who could live there? A rabbit? A mouse?

  3. Look for webs in corners and between plants.

  4. Look in tree trunks for holes or cracks.

  5. Make up a little story about who lives in each home.

All done!

That's every step. However it went, you made a little moment together.
