Long grass? Squelchy mud? We've got to go through it! Turn your walk into a story-hunt adventure.

Estimated time: 2 min to prepare · 15 min to explore · 3 min to tidy. It's fine to stop early.
Before you start
Let's begin
That's the whole activity. Tick each step off as you go, and stop whenever you like.
Decide what you're hunting for today. A bear? A dragon? A sleepy hedgehog?
As you walk, turn what you find into the story: long grass is swishy, a puddle is a river, a log is a mountain.
Make the sounds and actions together: swishy swashy, splash splosh, tiptoe tiptoe.
Find a "cave", like a big tree or a hedge, then run home together giggling.
That's every step. However it went, you made a little moment together.
