A tiny plan for your day

Estimated time: 1 min to prepare · 12 min to explore · 2 min to talk about it. It's fine to stop early.

Before you start

What you’ll need

  • A sunny garden or park with some shady spots

Let's begin

Five simple steps

That's the whole activity. Tick each step off as you go, and stop whenever you like.

  1. Find a stone in the sun. Touch it with the back of your hand. Warm?

  2. Find a stone in the shade. Is it cooler?

  3. Try the grass, a wall, a bench, a tree trunk.

  4. Which is the warmest thing you found? The coolest?

  5. Where would a lizard sit to get warm?

All done!

That's every step. However it went, you made a little moment together.
