A tiny plan for your day

Estimated time: 3 min to build · 10 min to play · 2 min to tidy. It's fine to stop early.

Before you start

What you’ll need

  • Two long, straight sticks
  • A log or stone to rest one end on
  • Things to roll: a small ball, big conkers, pine cones

Let's begin

Five simple steps

That's the whole activity. Tick each step off as you go, and stop whenever you like.

  1. Lay the two sticks side by side, a little apart, like a train track.

  2. Rest one end on a log to make a slope.

  3. Place a ball at the top and let go.

  4. Does it stay on the track? Make the slope steeper or gentler.

  5. Race two things side by side.

All done!

That's every step. However it went, you made a little moment together.
