A tiny plan for your day

Estimated time: 2 min to prepare · 15 min to explore · 3 min to write it up. It's fine to stop early.

Before you start

What you’ll need

  • Paper and crayons
  • A wood, park or garden to explore

Let's begin

Five simple steps

That's the whole activity. Tick each step off as you go, and stop whenever you like.

  1. Wander and look for your favourite things: a tree, a bird, a puddle, some moss.

  2. Little one leads

    Your child draws each favourite.

  3. Turn them into a recipe: "Take one big tree. Add three birds singing. Sprinkle with leaves."

  4. Grown-up job

An adult writes the words while your child "reads" it back.

  5. Stick it on the fridge.

All done!

That's every step. However it went, you made a little moment together.
