A tiny plan for your day

Estimated time: 2 min to collect · 7 min to play · 1 min to head off. It's fine to stop early.

Before you start

What you’ll need

  • A handful of pebbles, small and big
  • Safe, still water, like a pond edge, a lake shore or a bucket

Let's begin

Five simple steps

That's the whole activity. Tick each step off as you go, and stop whenever you like.

  1. Choose a big pebble and a small pebble.

  2. Drop the small one in. Plip!

  3. Drop the big one in. PLOP!

  4. Watch the circles spread out. Which made the biggest ripples?

  5. Try dropping two at once.

All done!

That's every step. However it went, you made a little moment together.
