  • A cloth bag or a sock
  • Five nature treasures with different feels: a pine cone, a smooth stone, a feather, a leaf, some moss

Five simple steps

That's the whole activity. Tick each step off as you go, and stop whenever you like.

  1. Grown-up job

    An adult secretly pops one treasure in the bag.

  2. Little one leads

    Your child puts a hand in. No peeking!

  3. Describe it: is it bumpy, soft, smooth, spiky?

  4. Guess what it is, then pull it out.

  5. Swap, and let your child choose one for you.

All done!
