A tiny plan for your day

Estimated time: 2 min to set up · 15 min to explore · 3 min to tidy. It's fine to stop early.

Before you start

What you’ll need

  • A hula hoop, or a circle of string
  • A magnifying glass, optional

Let's begin

Five simple steps

That's the whole activity. Tick each step off as you go, and stop whenever you like.

  1. Gently drop the hoop onto grass or a flower bed.

  2. Get down low and look inside the circle.

  3. What plants can you see? Any flowers?

  4. What creatures? Ants, beetles, spiders, worms?

  5. Move the hoop somewhere new. Is it different there?

All done!

That's every step. However it went, you made a little moment together.
