Before you start
What you’ll need
- Empty plant pots and a tray of soil
- Leaves, twigs and flowers as "plants"
- A watering can and a few pebbles as money
Let's begin
Five simple steps
That's the whole activity. Tick each step off as you go, and stop whenever you like.
Set up the shop on a low wall or table.
- Little one leads
Your child "plants" twigs and leaves in pots of soil.
Price them with pebbles.
- Together
Take turns being the shopkeeper and the customer.
Water the plants and wrap them for the customer.
All done!
