A tiny plan for your day

Estimated time: 2 min to prepare · 15 min to explore · 3 min to tidy. It's fine to stop early.

Before you start

What you’ll need

  • A magnifying glass, if you have one
  • A clear pot or a white plate, optional

Let's begin

Five simple steps

That's the whole activity. Tick each step off as you go, and stop whenever you like.

  1. Grown-up job

An adult slowly lifts a log, stone or pot, rolling it towards you.

  2. Look closely. Can you count the legs? Spot the antennae?

  3. Watch how each creature moves. Is it fast, slow, wiggly?

  4. Give it a friendly name and say goodbye.

  5. Gently put the log back exactly as it was.

All done!

That's every step. However it went, you made a little moment together.
